研究领域(Research Area)

本课题组以鼠疟原虫为模型,用遗传杂交、基因敲除、基因组测序和表达分析等方法来研究鼠疟原虫的抗药性、寄生虫在鼠和蚊子体内的发育相关的基因。近年来,我们开发了数百个用于约氏疟原虫基因分型的微卫星标记,建立了约氏疟原虫的第一张遗传图谱,开始了基因定位等工作。目前的工作主要是研究卵囊在蚊体内的发育和疟原虫的抗药性等。我们也关注其它有经济意义的寄生原虫如住白虫。

Our laboratory at Xiamen University consists of a small number of people focusing on genetics of rodent malaria parasites. We have developed the first Plasmodium yoelii linkage map and are using the map to identify genetic loci and genes contributing to drug resistance and parasite development in the rodent and mosquito hosts. Candidate genes will be verified using gene disruption and other biochemical, molecular, and cellular approaches. We are also interested in other parasitic protozoa of economic importance such as Leucocytozoon of domestic birds.
